I am in eastern Va also... Looks to me like I will be hunting soybean fields this year... heck its the only thing for them to eat.
I hear that, our farm has a huge 3-4 year old cutover bordering it so I'm hoping that extra deer level browse will help us as well.

If we don't get any rain I am not going to be able to plant a food plot either. To darn dry

It looks like here in Southern Indiana, we have got a decent crop of acorn coming. Last year we had a bad year and the deer killed resulted from it. There wasn't much activity due to the lack of acorns in many spots. Hopefully we will have great year and so will everyone else!
