Took advantage of the nice summer weather to get my clothes ready. I have done all I could to keep scent free when touching them at anytime, however,it has always bothered me how I stored them though. I had them like most guys in a closed container, in bulk. Underwear in this one, outer wear in that one. The problem was that when I went to get some out I'd find myself going through a bunch to get the ones I wanted for the day. I'd have to put them down some where and that was a concern. Just wasn't a good way of doing things,so I came up with a new plan. I individualy packed each garment in it's own zip bag. They have them in all sizes. Now, when I want something, I'm not touching what I don't want and when I do have to set them down, so what, they are in a sealed bag.

I don't know how much of a pain it's going to be on trips when I'm half beat from the day and find myself at the laundry mat late in the evening, but for now I'm very happy with the way they are stored.

I also bought some insect cages for the kids a few years ago. They never used them. They make mighty fine scent containers. Stuffed some walnuts in some and hang them in my sealed hunting storage room. If they were a hunting item you know they'd be 3 times the price.:DExpect to see Cabela's selling some at $49.95 soon. I got mine for less than .50 I think.:D

Another option would be to pack a complete single outfit (underware, socks ,pants,shirt) in one bag. Put together 3/4/5 days worth and throw them in a rubbermaid tote, thenreach in and grab a fresh one when needed. That requires a few less bags. Each camo outfit (if you have multiple) gets a bag as well as the rain/cold weather stuff.

i have seen people make a trunk or a chest made of cedar to give the clothes a natural scent but i havnt tried it. this way you dont have to worry about human scent.

I used to work in an upscale golf course community that was being built. I used to go around and collect the pieces of left over material from the cedar closets they installed. The cedar is about quarter inch by three inch tongue and groove. I have it in lengths from 1" to 24". I washed all of my hunting clothes Friday and put them into my rubbermaid totes. I put a shirt and pants that go together and then put two long pieces of cedar down. Then another layer of pants/shirts and more cedar. This is the first time I've done this so I'm hoping my clothes will smell nice and cedarie by hunting time. Of course this works great here in God's Northwest country where cedar trees abound.

That would be good except I don't have any sets for a given day. Some are freezing in the morn but hot in the day. I use a lot of layers of under garments.Not sure how many I'll need for a certain day. Tried several different socks last year as well. Combinations worked well. One worked well all by its self. Alpaca socks made by Alpaca direct worked very well with rubber boots.
