The neck is too long for a coyote.

I was sure when I first saw the picture that this was indeed a wolf. The more I looked at it the more positive I became. The head doesn't necessarily look like that of a big wolf, but the lanky and beefy legs surely do. Wolf.

I think it's a wolf. If it was a coyote, it would have to be the tallest one I've seen yet.

I also think it's too leggy to be a coyote. The face and ears just don't look quite like a coyote either.

And to the member that said coyote/dog.....I've always called them coy-dogs....is that the same as what some of you are calling a T-dog? Never heard of T-dog..what is it?

I'm no expert, I've never seen a wolf in the wild, and I've only seen one coyote, but judging from the pics I've seen, I'm saying wolf.

This is summer meaning animals have thinner coats and slimmer bodies. That animal appears to have much thicker legs/neck/and stomach than a summer coyote. In the winter when this animal buffs up, I would suspect it would appear much larger than it does in this pic, much larger than any coyote I've ever seen a pic of, so I'm saying wolf.

If this was a winter pic, I would say its just a good sized yote, but its not, its July/August and that animal is just too large this time of year to be a coyote.

Ive been hunting coyotes for 15 years, thats deffinately a coyote, wolves usually have a shorter more rounded muzzle where they coyote normally has a longer pointier muzzle. Nice looking coyote. Where ya at, ill come take care of him
