Started Moving In (mount pics)

We have come to an agreement that the basement will be considered "my space". This is what I have done with the main living room area so far. The two small full mounts are both from South Africa, they are a Steenbok (left) and a Gray or Common Duiker (right).

We still have another small couch that matches the larger one to move in. And I've got a lot of pictures to hang.

Very Nice room and nice trophies. Not just big racks, but big body size.

I'm about to start building a house and I've already negotiated to get my own room.[8D]

Shouldn't there be a mini fridge to hold the adult beverages next to the couch?

Not sure if it helps any, but my taxidermist told me you want the deer positioned in the room so the mounts are looking at you when you enter the room. I know this can't be the case all the time, but maybe you can swap some mounts around.

I tried to stagger the mounts by direction as well as by height. I looked at moving the two mounts by the TV around last night but one's antlers were too tall for the hole that I had already put into the wall. I may switch things around still, but it's a solid start.

That is a very nice room. I am working on one right now, has carsiding up, but it is stained darker than yours. I only have one mount though, and it is no where as nice as yours are, so I have alot of work to do.

Great looking room so far!

I love basements...all of my family live in Ohio and have awesome basements finished out. I always sleep down in them because of how cool and dark they get!

Living in Oklahooma they don't build basements for some reason. The most popular being clay, which I have heard is an urban legend. The next house I build will have a basement regardless of the myths!
