cant get enough of it!

this year was my first season bowhunting and had a great time and now that the season is i cant wait and am dreaming till next years deer season opens up..I think the bowhunting magazines should send out at least 30 issues a year. lol i have read all of my dads at least 3 times each... i got a new martin phantom for christmas and i love it. i just got it all set up a few days ago and i have been out shooting it everyday since..i just cant get enough of it! im thinking of taking the martin down to camp instead of the 12 guage for turkey hunting this spring. i just cant get enough of it!

yea im sure it will be a challenge... i plan on either doing it from my dad's Double bull archery blind or from a tree stand that i know the turkeys were by this deer season

Welcome to my nightmare! Won't you come on in! (Alice Cooper) LOL
It does get habit forming doesn't it? I also have a brand new Martin Phantom II. I love mine also. I plan on hunting turkeys in the spring here in Iowa with it. After that, it's time to reduce the coyote population! Then, back to whitetails. How do you like that double bull blind? I was thinking of buying one. Is it roomy enough for 2 adults? My wife wants to hunt with a crossbow and I want to film it on the video camera and vise versa.

budbowhunter,
yeah i believe it is big enough for two adults, then again it depends on what model you buy. i think ours is the smallest you can get so i think it might be a little cramped but then again im not that sure (havnt used it in awhile). is you are interested in one, they make a movie, its pretty cool, they shoot turkey from 5 feet sometimes!

It was my first year bowhunting and I am also hooked! My rifle season this year was terrible (and cold) so I am looking forward to spring gobbler. This morning I had some excitement. As I went up the hill to my stand as it was just getting light, I heard noises and looked up to see a large turkey in the tree above me. Then I noticed a few more. I thought for the heck of it I would stay put to see what happened. I think the closest turkey knew I was there but the others did not. The first turkey that flew down came near then took off running as he landed. The 2nd turkey came right at me and it was almost as if he tried to stop in mid-air when he realized I was there. The 3rd turkey (the one I saw first) just flew off down the valley. A couple more flew down and I aimed the bow at the closest just for the heck of it. He saw me aim and then him and the rest took off. That was exciting!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> I think I might try the bow for turkey season too. Can't wait til spring!!!
