What's in your pack???
What essentials do you pack into the woods?
Backpack w/: Safety harness Extra release Armguard to hold back clothing TP in ziplock bag rubber field dressing gloves pull rope 2 knives limb pruners walkie talkie cell phone head net/cover realtree ez bow hanger compass light gloves w/ release finger tip trimmed off pack of handwarmers (depending on temps.. these will be sufficient down to about freezing) Primos Buck Roar Primos "the can".. both of these are useful later in Oct and through the rest of season... Scent Killer spray (in truck) Wind indicator snacks bottle of water/soda |

Bigjim12.. it's really not that bad... trying to find things to eliminate.. but can't find anything that I don't "need"? Especially when you're going out to the tree stand to sit all day.. or even 1/2 day.

I hunt pretty deep in the woods and if I get lost I have a mini survival pack. Okay, you asked LOL!!
Compass Walkie Talkie Toilet Paper Flint Lighter Waterproof matches Gerber kinfe Mini Gerber hand saw poncho small tarp mini fist aid kit survival handbook 3 powerbars waterpurifier bug spray deer call hand warmer light sticks bivey bag (way better than a solar blanket) 200 rounds for my .357 sig rope gloves beanie GPS Rangefinder and a few other things I can't recall This all fits in a small assault pack from blackhawk with a 100oz hydrastorm for water storageand it not hard to carry. |

Survival kit in fanny pack
In the back pack I carry: scent cover spray knife small backpacking stove and fuel small pot and spoon more matches and lighter Leatherman Wave headlamp and batteries (same batteries the GPS and headlamp uses) GPS and topo maps 100oz water blader, MRS water filter and extra 2 liters blader sleeping back and pad a heavy duty survival blanket/tarp poncho food binos, spotting scope, camera and tripod game bags, rope and some plastic bags TP and small plastic shovel for the cathole extra socks and cloths Bear spray :) All I can think of right now... |
