i need help

i'm from israel and there aint much of bowhunting here, my father is going to usa soon - he wants to hunt there and i wanted to know - can you take a bow with you on a plane? i tried to contact the air company but they didn't give me an answer.. as you know bows are not cheap.. especially not in israel so i really don't want it to be confiscated.. can you help me? i'm sure you know about this things..

They have to go in checked luggage. Make sure he uses a good strong, lockable case and all will be well. Welcome to the forums.
