Just found my way to the ATA show..
I was talking to my shop owner (boss) today about a few things and the ATA show came up. He was talking about how he got a few releases, hats, shirts, everything. He said if he could get an extra ticket that I would be more than welcome to join them. So if everything works out OK, I'll be able to go to Indy to the ATA show this year. I have to say I'm a little excited.

RE: Just found my way to the ATA show..
If it's moved back to Indianapolis this year, I'll be there as well. I'll be of course "working" for the shop that weekend, checking out new items and such, but we should all try to meet up ......

RE: Just found my way to the ATA show..
For those of you who have never attended the ATA show, you'll enjoy it. I was a manufacturer rep for 16 years and always enjoyed working our booth at the shows, meeting new people from all over the U.S.
Seeing all of the new gear for the up coming year is a bonus as well. Be prepared to do a lot of walking and waiting. If the show is a good one, it'll be wall to wall people. Look for the seminars held throughout each day. Some are worth it. I remember when the original Bowhunters Trade Show began in Louisville. I was amazed to say the least. I do believe it has scaled down considerably vs years past do to cost to attend, motel, travel, and food. It's a pretty costly venture, but worth it if you've never attended. Good luck and have a great time. If you like to drink micro brew, I highly suggest you go to the RAM which is only about 2 blocks from the dome. Their signature beer is called, "Butt Face". It's dark without the bite and can put you in a position of seeing your butt with your face if you don't watch out! |
