Got A Lucky Break On A Buck (pic)

Hi everyone, thought I would try my hand at posting a pic here. Got this 10 point buck the day after Christmas...guess you could say kind of a late Christmas gift for me! This was the 2nd day I have hunted this new spot. The first day there I saw lots of does, but a little too far to shoot. So I went back the 2nd day and moved my stand. A nice doe came in about an hour before dark, and I decided to fill my tag. I didn't see that little branch poking out from the tree infront of me, and well the arrow sailed safely over the doe. Disgusted I got down out of the tree and headed back to the truck. There was still 15 min of shooting time left, but I headed back to my truck as I was to be at a Christmas party in about 30 min. Well, I got back to the truck, started to put stuff away when I saw 2 does headed straight for me. I got to the nearest tree and got my self tucked behind it for cover. The two does passed me at about 40 yards. Then I noticed about 15 more deer headed my way. These deer passed me at about 30 yards. I set the pin on a nice doe, when I noticed this buck following them. He followed the same line and when he got in the open I let her fly. Got a good lung shot and he went about 100 yards.
Long story short....I was about 3 hours late for the party! But I had a really good excuse. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
