My first robin hood

Me and my buddy went to Gander Mountain to shoot over lunch. I was shooting my last set of 5 arrows, and it happened. I am just now starting to get over being ill about the whole thing (arrows aren't cheap), but it is starting to feel pretty cool.

I also got my bow cranked up from 62# to 70#, and drawing it I could not tell any difference. And I got to crono my bow for the first time. At 62# I was shooting 246 fps. Cranked up to 70#, I got 256 fps. This was shooting my Beman ICS Hunter 400, 8.4 gpi, and 25.5 inches, and using 100 grain field points, for a total of 314.2 grains. Also, I have a 27 inch draw.

Someone's got to say it... ;)

Were they both in the "X"? If not, you just missed in the same spot twice!! :D:D

Nice shooting!

I will be honest. It was not a true robin hood. I had just changed my loop, cranked up my draw weight, and paper tuned. I was resetting my sights, so I did not hit the bullseye. I was going to shoot a 3 shot group at 20 to use to adjust the sights. After I ruined an arrow, I figured it was time to go. My hour was almost up on the range anyway. I will worry about my 20 and 30 this weekend.

nice shooting. I have yet to do it (don't know if that's good or bad). You may also want to recalculate your arrow weight. Gotta account for the insert, nock, vanes and glue. Probably closer to 350 especially at 256 fps.;)

Yeah, I thought about the arrow weight after I had posted. My buddy has a scale at his house, so we are probably going to try and weigh them next week, if I can talk him into digging it out of his closet to bring to the office.

I just went to the local pro shop to replenish my arrow supply. I had him weigh one. I am actually at 375 grains with a 100 grain field point.
