Boot Question?

Hey, I was wondering if you guys could give me some input on my boot problem. Last year whenever I was hunting I was wearing my Rocky 1000 gram hunting boots and went through some flood water and went over them. Ever since then they have stunk like mildew. I used a boot dryer to dry them but the smell is still with them. So now everytime I wear them my socks and feet smell like the nasty flood water. I was wondering if you guysknew a way to get the smell out of them? This may sound stupid, but I was going to soak them in water and dry them out and put some baking soda in them to try and get the smell out. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

I think your idea may be your last hope. I'm guessing it is the smell that was in the water that is still there, as opposed to a mildew or something. You may want to mix in some baking soda with the water you are washing them with, and then put them on the boot dryer.

I would wash them and put them outside in the sun to dry. The sunlight UV rays may breakdown the bacteria or algae assuming it is not very humid outside.

The baking soda idea sounds good to me and then allow them to dry outside hanging upside down.

Try spraying them with " Dead Down Wind" It is one of those hunter oder nuetralizer sprays.
