It got me thinking
Something a lot of people dont really talk about on here is saftey Harnesses, IN your opinions what ones are worth the money, has anyone ever fallen? lets get some stories going, this is one of those important things to discuss.

Yes I agree my7point. I've got a Summit Viper climber, It came with a safety harness, pretty basic but sturdy, I was hoping to get one of the vests this year and give it a try but I'd like to hear from some guys that have them , if they recommend them and what brands in particular.

This is my first year bowhunting by myself and my Dad won't let me hunt without one. Would also like to see what you guys think is best. Do they make it hard to get the shot off. How about added noise? I'm not saying I'm not going to use one, just that I want a good working one. I know a guy that fell and didn't get hurt from the fall. But he did have an arrow go into his inner thigh. He unscrewed the arrow and went to the ER to have the broadhead removed. That would have hurt like all get out.

Your dad is a greatman and a very wise man. He knows the dangers of hunting from elevated stands as more than 90% of us on this site do as well. Most harnesses are designed for comfort and mobilitywith the hunter in mind. Most are a very smooth fabric and are very quiet.

All of my treestand came with them, but i have never have worn one. Haven't fallen yet (KNOCK ON WOOD!) but i am purchasing one of those safety harness vest this year also. I can tell you in around 3 months how i liked it.

I use the ones that come with tree stands, but they aren't always the easiest to untangle and put on. I have been looking at the vests, so this will be some helpful information when peoplestart replying,hopefully.

My husband I have never used them. However, my son will be bowhunthing this year, and i was concerned. We just went and bought all of us the Hunters Safety System Vests. From what i have heard they are one of the better ones. I will lwt you know how we make out with them. We will all be using them this year!

I personally know a guy who fell and broke his back, no saftey harness just fell and SNAP

my dad fell last year and a safety harness saved him, he was climbing down and his ole man top peice came undone..
