RE: Fall away rests for Mathews Legacy?
I'll refer to the KISS principle on this one. I'm keeping my whisker biscuit. The second somebody sets their bow down and a twig goes up under the arms or actuators of these rests you're going to break something, period. Every year we pull out more cash for the next great gadget only to be wiser keeping what works already.

RE: Fall away rests for Mathews Legacy?
I have had the MZE for 2 years now and pulled, dragged, and carried it through some of the thickest stuff imaginable. I put my bows through absolute he!! just getting to the stand. Having said that, in 2 years nothing has ever broken on this rest. The only problem I had with it was of my own making. I stripped the screw that attaches the arm to the cable slide. I took my bow to the Atlanta Buckarama in August and Eric from Muzzy installed a whole new rest on it for me. I had asked him if he could just replace the little screw, but he went above and beyond and replaced everything. I have not heard of anyone having a problem with any of the drop away rests having problems under hunting conditions, and with as many out there as there are I would expect to hear of a few breakages. The only problems I have ever heard of were with, I believe, the original Mirage design, and GKF fixed that.
Personally, I am more worried about site pins getting bent or broken than I am with my MZE. |
