Simply no. Sometimes the deer wins. If I'm not presented with the right shot then he wins that day. I'm not that desperate to kill a deer that I must take a very questionable shot. If the broadside shot or quartering away isn't open then the hunt goes on.

long beard what part of the state do you hunt in i hunt a fair bit of md public land mostly eastern shore and balt wash corridor if you aren't seeing a better quality you may want to try a different part of the state

i didn't read every word of this thread, so this may have been covered.....did anyone see the mount at the 2006 iowa deer classic that had the arrow stuck in the bucks forehead? i can't believe they let that be partof the display.
