What kind of stabilizers do you use?
I am looking to purchase a new stabilizer for my bow. Just wondering what types others were using and what they thought. Any help would be great!! Happy Hunting!!

RE: What kind of stabilizers do you use?
8" Stealth Stabilizer for me, its the best I have found for not only balancing and helping steady my bow, but also for noise and shock reduction.

RE: What kind of stabilizers do you use?
7" Doinker Multi rod D2..... I love this thing. Sims is also a great choice, that is what I was using before switching to Doinker.

RE: What kind of stabilizers do you use?
I use the 6" Fuse and love it. I am thinking of switching to the Fuse side mount to offset my quiver though.

RE: What kind of stabilizers do you use?
I've got one 6" Stealth on my '07 Allegiance, two Bowtech Wild Things on my Guardians, and I'm having a custom-made 11 1/2" Stealth stab made for me to go on my 3d rig, which is my '07 Constitution.

RE: What kind of stabilizers do you use?
I am shooting a 7" doinker on my hunting bows, an 11.5" carbon elite doinker on my hunter class 3D bow, and a 26" Shrewd Carbon Devibe on my MBR class 3D bow. Not sure what I will shoot indoors this year, probably a 30" Shrewd.

I've got a 3" doinker on my 337 right now. Had the S-Coil on it but prefered the extra bit of weight for shooting targets.

RE: What kind of stabilizers do you use?
I don't use one. It's just something else to get hung up in the brush when I'm chasing elk. Compared to yesteryear, there is virtually no noise or vibration in today's bows for a stabilizer to have much of a purpose.

RE: What kind of stabilizers do you use?
ORIGINAL: Greg / MO an 11.5" carbon elite doinker on my hunter class 3D bow I think you will be shocked with the difference, and the ability to tweak overall balance of the bow as well by adding the modular weights is truly awesome. I owned a stealth and liked it on my old patriot, but for target purposes I really really like the Doinkers and the ability to tweak them with the modular weights. For my current 3D rig, I also use a rear mounted doinker with their leven weights to get the mass weight and neutral front/back balance characteristics I want. When the comission checks start rolling in again from my new job I will probably go back to Doinker for my target rigs with a quadraflex setup for my indoor bow and another for my 3D bow. They are lighter than the carbon elites which is useful on a bow that already has good mass weight before stabilizers, and using the modular weights on the end also allows you to get the weight out away from the bow where you want it to slow things way down. It's absolutely shocking how different pin float changes with a small tweak in balance and/or mass weight.........the ability to adjust that ratio of holding weight at full draw to mass weight of the bow is critical to me and Doinker is one of the few that allows me to do that while still having great shock absorbing capabilities. Shrewd is a close second......... |
RE: What kind of stabilizers do you use?
