dampeners

does anybody know about any sound or vibration redusing products that really work

Simms stuff all works for the most part. I won't own a bow without limb savers, period! Doesn't always cut down on the sound, but always makes a difference in the way the bow feels.

And there are various stabilizers on the market that reduce vibration, shock and recoil. You just need to try a few and see what your bow likes the best.

I have also had good luck the NV system.

Others seem to really like the systems that mount to your riser and stop the string, like the STS or the MeanV products.

Heavier arrows and adequate string silencers help a lot as well.

Did you have a specific product in mind?

Keep the crap off your string and go with an STS. That will help greatly.

Yeah, that way you can transfer all that energy into your riser instead? I have not heard one of those systems that is as quiet as good string silencers yet. It might cut down on recoil and take the twang out of the string but having a string slam into a peice of rubber at 100 + mile an hour is far from quiet in my opinion.

If I were to use an sts device I would still use string silencers.

The new limbsaver leeches seem to be the best out there. They have shorter arms so they don't get shot up as fast. I think the Hoyt string silencers that youguys are talking about are REALLY heavy.
