Help me out guys
 

I know this doesnt really belong here, but i've heard it on my way to the deerstand several times and i just heard it again tonight. Every once in a while i'll hear this aweful sound. It's like bone chilling kind of hair on the back of your neck kind of sound. It's always at night, and it goes for 1-2 minutes in bursts. it's always the same sound. I dont even know how to explain it.Somthing like Keeeeee wappp but very loud and high pitched. any ideas? I have to turn around and go home when i hear it because it's so scary, even with a weapon.

Actually idk what the sound could be, maybe it is a owl?

Yea theres no lynx in ohio. But there are bobcats and (suposedly) mountain lions. Check out there sounds. Also, woochucks will wistle, but thats not the sound you've heard i dont think. Maybe it was a coon?

I think it's the boogie man!I heard something in the woods on a backpacking trip that totally freaked me out one night.Never heard anything like it before.Next day we found a bunch of coyote tracks in the area

Without hearing it with my own ears, my best guess would be a screech owl.

I have heard that to and its just some kind of bird. I know it because me and my dad sat and waited for it and when it made its noise we shined a light on it and there it was, just a little bird of some kind. It freaked us out to, so dont feel bad.:)

Just remember Squirrelkilla, your alot safer in the woods in Ohio than you are on the streets of the citys!

I would definately say Sasquach or Yeti....But if Wis Bow Hunter is correct I would find another hunting spot.[&:]

The Blair Witch is serious man............But I think Ohio is a little bit out of range for the Blair Witch. That's more East Coast.

On another note......If Sasquach and the Blair Witch go toe to toe...

I also bet it is a Screech Owl. They can make some noises that will make you think that someone is getting murdered across the way.

I feel pretty sure it is an owl. The "Screaming Chitters" call of the Great Horned Owl seems to sound as he described.

Rarely do song birds sing at night, except for the mocking bird.

I've seen bobcats in southern ohio. Chances are thats what it is. But like said your safer in the woods then on the street in ohio.

I heard that sound before and it was the same night we saw a cougar in are chicken pen.
