I would pull as much as you can with out too much strain. WI has a limit of 35lbs I believe but I would check that out. Another thing you might want to factor in is the amount of cloths you are going to have on and the temp. You can be the strongest guy in the world but when your muscles get cold it can be real hard to get that bow back.

the texas min. limit is 40 lbs, but shoot as much as you can. the more you practice with it the stronger you will get. before you know it you will be pulling back 45 or 50:D

You will be able to pull back more than you think you can. When i first started looking at bows i thought i would only be abe to pull back 50 lbs but im pulling 60-65 lbs now. Like everyone else said just go to your local pro shop and pull a few back.

im 14 i just got my first bow about a mouth ago i started pullen 45 then i just got it turned up to 55 so once you shoot for a while you get stronger and can pull more and more back

Minimum here is 40 pounds to hunt. You should go to a pro shop and let them help you out. Try a few different bows, even at the same poundage they feel different. Even if you try a high poundage bow and are able to pull it back, remember you want to practice. When you do, you don't want to get tired after 5 shots. Make sure you don't get something too heavy to practice with. Also, if you're sitting on stand in cold weather, that 60 pound bow feels like 75 after a couple hours of sitting. Make sure you get measured for draw length so whatever bow you getit will fit you. That's important. Shoot as many bows as you can in your price range and get the one that feels right to YOU. Good Luck!
