I found in the past I was bring to much into the woods. This way if I do hit one I give myself time to go back to the truck and get what I need.

1) Binos (I hunt spot and stalk, so binos are very important)
2) knife (a most have)
3) GPS/Maps (You need these if hunting backcountry)
4) Flint+steel (you never know when you'll need a fire...)
5) Water filter (must drink water...)
