I personally love the rubber boots. when it gets cold I simply take my BOOT BLANKETS to the stand with me and slip them over my boots. they're actually called ice breaker boot blankets. and cabellas sells them (there is a new kind out that are suppose to be better made by artic shield but i found out first hand that they are no good I believe bass pro sells them and they are very thin) The boot blankets are a little bulky but cold feet will be a thing of the past. I absolutly love them. the cost is around $50

Go to the Bowhunting Gear review and look at the report I just did on my Lacrosse 1200gm Thinsulate Rubber Boots (with pics). The warmest boots I've ever hunted in.

I always wear wicking socks to help to keep the feet dry and then top them with wool socks. My husband is also a big fan of toe warmers. I wear the Rocky Blizzard Stalkers made with 1000 grams of thinsulate and Gore Tex for the real deep snow and bitter cold. I also got a new pair of Cabelas Briuns for christmas, I love them ,they even come in womens sizes, they contain 800grams of thinsulate and Gore Tex, and a great gripping sole for hiking. I wore them out hunting in the 8 inches of snow we got and they kept the feet dry and warm. I always get a pair a size larger than I wear so I have room for layering socks and toe warmers if needed.

The boots I am currently using are made in Canada and rated at a comfort zone of -22F, the brand name is Kamik. They are rubber, with a felt liner and with proper socks will work fine to a point. They lied about the comfort zone. If it is below 30F, you better have some chemical warmers to put in. In a rubber boot there is only so much room to wick moisture to, then they start getting cold, unless you have extra liners with you.

David, I am going to put duckies on mine , so I can be like you. Only differance then will be that I have hair and brown &quot;Johns&quot;..<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

The best of luck in all your hunting endeavors!!!

God Bless,
Dave
