One more to the wish list for Oct. 1st.

I got a pic of this one Sunday off of the trail camera, he is on the wish list for this fall maybe what do you think. He was a 6 last year, was about 15" wide then if its the same buck. He sure would be a good one next year or next. This is not but about 150 yds from the camp but it is THICK in there, age an score anyone.

Give him 1 more year. Nice rack and body but I'm guessing maybe 2- 2.5yrs. Let him grow.

While his rack does look a little thin, if that was a 2.5 in my area, that would be one awesome 2.5.

That deer is most definatly older than 2.5 years old! Whitetail look much different in the fall and look thin in the summer. But you can still notice the sagging belly of a mature deer (even with the summer coat). 3.5+ year old or older.. and more than likely a 4.5+ year old.

If that was a 2.5 (no way) it would be showing AMAZING genetics.

I doubt he would be 4.5 yrs old, maybe 3.5, but I would sway towards the 2.5 range. I would most deffinately draw back on that deer, can't say I would shoot him, but at least shoot at him:D. There are deer that big and bigger around here, but I have never had one in bow range yet, can't say I have had one in M/L range either, so I would try and take him, but thats just me, I don't have a deer that big yet!

Have to agree. That deer has a good size body and a deep chest. At least 3.5years. Nice rack too.

That's a great pic! I am also guessing he's a 3 year old, that would be an incredible 2 year old? With a little luck, you'l get a few more photos of 'em.

Agreed! That deer is in Arkansas in the summer. It's at least a 4.5 year old, probably older. I'm not the best at judging years, but I know Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma deer better thanI know the rest. Unless you are just trying to take 6 year old or older I'd shoot that buck. Good luck!

If thats a 2.5 year old, you've got somequality feed andgenes spread through your herd. By looking at his chest and torso he's a 3 year old.... Then again, I've never laid eyes on any live Arkansas deer...

Nevertheless, good luck hunting that buck if he's what your after. Shoot whats gonna make you happy after the kill.

Honestly.....first glance I guessed him @ 3.5 and 138".

He looks too good to be a 2.5 yr old southern deer.

definately 3 years old maybe 4.

I'd guess him to be 3.5. His stomach has fallen some and most 2.5 yr olds still have the youthful bigger chest/smaller in the hinds look. At least that's what I've seenin PA.
I'd shoot him if the age structure was such.
