RE: Is this legal?
its not the fact if it has motor in it or not. I would assume your laws state the same as Wi when it comes to hunting from anything. Anything that can be towed, or moved is condsidered a vehicle. If the vehicle has wheels its considered a vehicle with or with out a motor, it can still be towed down a roadway. This includes, old cars or turcks, farm impliments, wagons, trailers, etc, unless the person has a handicap and holds a special permit to hunt from avehicle. I would turn your neighbor in.

RE: Is this legal?
The deer are in my hardwoods he only owns a large open cow pasture. He is hunting a trail that is on my property. I know who this guy is, he is nothing but trouble. We have been at it before. My property is covered in empty shotgun shell casings and beer cans. He has zero respect for anything. He goes by the name of Turtle and has a bad reputaion in the area.

RE: Is this legal?
I'm sorry bud, but that is freaking hilarious:D. That is quite possibly the most redneck hunting contraption I have ever even heard of. I feel bad for you... truly.

RE: Is this legal?
Thanks for the sympathy.

RE: Is this legal?
bring a video camera with you this season, nothing helps a game warden like proof.

RE: Is this legal?
In NC hunting from that "stand" would be considered illegal unless that person has a disability permit to hunt from a vehicle.
You can not hunt from anything like that. |

[/que]So what you are saying is if he put up a big box standor lean to you would not have a problem with him hunting that spot.Right? I still think it just pisses you off that he he hunting so close to your property, and if he is the type you sayhe isthe more you do the worse he'll make it foryou.I still say you need to try to come to some cival agreement. |
RE: Is this legal?
ORIGINAL: dstubb I posted 2 no hunting signs directly in front of it. I'm gonna be hunting about 100 yards away from that pile of junk this season. If he cross's my fence it's on. ORIGINAL: treboryerf So by your answer I assume he is not on your property. How do think he feels looking at you while he hunte the same free ranging deer that you are hunting, ever thought about that? Maybe you should seek him out and you two should talk .who knows you may make a new hunting buddy.Seems to me if the two of you are going to be that close maybe you should get to know each other and maybe work something out.You need to try and make something positve out of this instead of confrontational.Thats what I would doanyway. Not really sure how it would turn out if they tried to work it out. Hunting rights/land brings out the worst in some people. |
RE: Is this legal?
Maybe you could get some footage of him hunting from it?
|
RE: Is this legal?
Your absolutely right. The idea of him shooting a deer across my property line fence makes me sick. I have spent so much time ensuring that I maintain a quality deer herd on my property, I have 4 nice food plots, feeders, salt licks and even put in a 1 acre pond. He has an empty 20 acre field full of broken down cars and farm equipment.
