String Loop or Aluminum?

Hello All,
New bow hunter here was just wondering about the String "D" loop and the aluminum loop. Are there any real differences between the 2 other than different material?

Thanks for your time.

I prefer the string loop. I would go into more detail but I am getting ready to leave work.

String loop. Those aluminum loops eat up release jaws and I have seen a great many strings break exactly flush the top edge of the things.

Go with the string loop and learn how to tie them yourself. The string version allows you to choose a length that works for you. However, it will stretch and will wear out. But compared to replacing your serving and damage to your release it's a better choice.

The metal one can cut your center serving andcan wear your release over time. I used to use the metal one and had problems with serving damage.

Go with the string. In addition to what everyone else said, the aluminum will just slow you down a few more FPS. I figure the less weight on your string the better

Go with a rope loop, you don't want anything to do with alum.

String, string, string, and string. I had a metal loop a couple of years ago, and it ate up my serving. I drew on a very nice 8, and had him dead to rights, BUT, my serving was compressed by the metal loop and my nock came off of the string. I found myself at full draw with my arrow still on the rest![:@]By the time I let down a redrew he was in the thicket![:@][:@][:o]My oldest son got him on the last day of gunseason out of the same tree.:)
