So last year I joined this site and met some guy that lived within miles of my house. Well not too long after, his garage got broken into and all of his hunting gear (bow, treestand, etc.) was stolen. I had an old Jennings and a Cabelas climber that I let him borrow and even posted a thread online asking for any donations so he wouldn't miss season. Well too make a long story short, despite numerous attempts to collect my stuff, the son of a biscuit ran off with my stuff [:@]. According to his neighbor last night he moved about 1 1/2 months ago. It's not that it was the best equipment, but come on. The nerve of some people.....I'm speechless.

On the brighter side of things, my g/f is pregnant and hopefully will be giving birth to a boy in the next 7 1/2 months. I can't wait to buy that first bow :D

Dang Snake, I hate a thief. Sorry to hear about your stuff. On the other hand, once that young-un comes along, every thing else will seem trivial.

Sorry about the jerk, congrads on the baby. Your life will change dramatically but for the better. Hunt your tail off this year because next yr it might be a little different. Great news

That sucks man! Even if it wasnt the best equipment it was still yours! there has got to be a way to find this guy??? Why dont you post his name up? Its not like hes the victim!

I remember that, I was going to send him some broadheads, but he never pm'ed me his addy. I think several folks on here may have sent him stuff. Sucks to have that happen to you trying to be nice.

That is terrible. Reminds me of the stories that I hear from people telling of how they metsomeone that the thought they could trust so they took them to their favorite hunting spot. Only to get a letter from the land owners the next year saying that they had been out bidded for the lease by that very SAME person and he did not want ANYONE else on the land. [:@][&o]

Congrats on the baby. I have a 1 year old daughter. I can't wait until she can run a camera for me. Hopefully she will be able to draw a bow by time she turns 10... I can't wait!
Sorry about your gear. It is so hard to not be nice, then this happens. Makes it hard for those who wouldn't rob you blind were they to need anything.

Congrats on the baby! I agree with another poster that after the bun is out of the oven everything else will be trivial. All except hunting that is. Actually 7 1/2 months will land that baby just outside of the hunting season. Good Job!

Yeah I remember the sob story that he told. If I can remember, he was a fellow Pennsylvanian. I can't remember what his HNI screen name was though. Well we'll keep an eye out for him.

First, congrats on a new and exciting chapter to you and your wifes life. Enjoy it.

Second, i just cant get over that hunters as a whole (in my experience) show no respect to each other what so ever. Where im from, stolen stands and tresspassing is as common as the sun coming up. I just dont get it. He will get his, what goes around comes around.

Congrats on the baby! It looks like you will have at least one hunting season before your life gets busy.;)

The thing that is really sad about what that guy did is now you may be reluctant to help someone else out because of this, and who could blame you. That's just a shame.

My point exactly. You try to be nice to someone and this is the thanks that I get. It really isn't that I'm worried about the stuff. I never used it and honestly would've probably gave it to him if he woulda asked. It's just the point of things.

I wanna give a big thanks for all the congrats and any to follow. It still doesn't seem quite real yet, but I know it will change. I am kinda excited though. I looked through Cabelas and saw all this camo baby gear and I can't wait to irritate its mother by dressing them in it instead of the "preppy" look sheprefers :DOne thing is for sure, I definitely plan on doing everything in my power to enjoy this season and be as productive as possible
