Ok Im thinking of making a change with the arrows Im shooting. Right now Im shooting the big logs hehehe aluminum (eastons) 2314. Im thinking of switching to carbons. Im shooting 74lbs and have a 31in draw length. What do you guys and gals think. What would be my best choice. I shoot my arrows fine right now, but Im ready for a change.

If 2314's are doing good for you, then you should get good results with GoldTip Pro hunter 7595's. I swore off carbons a few years ago because of the crummy results I got with them but decided to give 'em another try to see if they've improved. I have been playing with the GT Pro's at 32" but only 65# draw and they're doing okay... so far. Haven't tried them with broadheads yet though.

If the 7595's do come up a little weak - which could happen at that draw weight and length - you may have to bump up into the Big Game shafts.

I'd also take a look at the carbon express maximas and cx series shafts. I've shot CX for a few years now and love them. Of course as Aurthur P said the gold tips are great arrows too. I don't think you'll go wrong either way. As far as size I believe you'll need the maxima 350'sor the cx300's, but I don't have a chart so that's off the top of my head.

I'm a big Easton fan this year I'll be shooting ST Epic 340's.

This year im trying out the beman realtree arrows with the HIT inserts and see how they do. If they are not any improvement i may go to the Gold Tips.

I remember when I switched from aliminum to carbon. I also had changed sight so I was starting out at 10 yards to get reasonably close. Shooting from my mathews,if I missed target and hit the tree backstop,aliminum arrow would break in half. When I missed the target with first shot after changing sight using gold tip pro hunters,the arrow was UNHURT but buried 4" into tree! It took me several hours to carve it out and I continued shooting that arrow. Try that with aliminum arrows! I am trying easton axis this year but my "go to" arrow is gold tip pro hunter. Do yourself a HUGE favor and switch to carbon/graphite arrows. I still have some that I have shot for years-including some that has taken several head of game!
