Shot the X-Force.

I was impressed.

I only shot it a couple times, as the kid who brought it in was in a bit of a hurry, but it was a very nice shooting bow.

The draw cycle wasn't harsh, as I expected it to be. It was just... different. Rather than ramping up in the beginning of the draw cycle, like most bows, it did it at the very end. It was really interesting to draw, it seemed backwards to what I'm used to.

I had also heard rumor that it was excessively loud. Not true. The bow was actually very quiet. Comparable to a bare Tribute or Allegiance.

The bow sat dead in my hand after the shot. No jump, no shock, no vibration. I put the first two arrows close enough together that you couldn't slip a sheet of paper between them.

All in all, I was impressed with the X-Force and hope we get one in the store soon.

When I shot one I LOVED it and the grips on them are AWESOME. It was surprisingly quiet as you mentioned and not to mention kinda fast ;)

It looks like a good bow.

It is starting to sound like this bow reall y is the "real deal" I am going to have to shoot it. Still don't like the low brace height on it. Got to get that speed from someplace.

They are comming out with a 7" BH model that is 10fps slower.

Go figure,I thought it was a noisey, jumpy, and a very "torky",bow to shoot.Did'nt care for the draw cycle at all.I guess thats why they make different flavors of ice cream, everybodys not the same...Bob

Good review, pretty much the same findings I had with the bow as well. We have an x-force 7 on the way now that should be there this week, I can't wait to play with that one. They really did a good job with this one.

I felt the same way.
I have aBowtech04 model Pro 40 dually that is just as fast, without the noise, and jump.. I do have the torque however. You can't have that much speed withoutsome torque.

Back when Bowtech came out with the Black Knight and the Pro 40, everyone was knocking Bowtech saying it wasn't about speed, now everyone is trying to get on the speed bandwagon... :D

Please trust me when I say this guys, if you shot an x-force that had shock or noise then there was something seriously out of tune with it. The one I shot in the high 330's was as dead in the hand and quiet with no stabilizer as the XT's in the shop.

Washington Hunter 07-09-2007 11:34 AM

RE: Shot the X-Force.

Matt, I was thinking the same thing.

TheX Force I shot was shooting... 430-ish grain arrows at 312fps.

Smokin'.
