Scouting Today

Went out tonight to do a little scouting. We had a pretty good night and got some good footage and pictures even though we didnt see the big boys. We still saw a couple nice ones though!

We were after the big droptine buck that we have been watching the past 4 years but never saw him. Still an eventful night. Here some pictures of him from the past..

Even though he never showed up with still got some good video and pictures of some nice ones. Here was the first deer to show up in the field:

Lexie:

First Buck:

The beans were too big yet...were going to give it a little while and come back and try and video the big boy

Hunter:

The scouting was going good till this guy came out of nowhere!

The pictures got kind of blury with not much light but look at the right brow tine on this sucker!

I don't know if I've ever seen you say, are you scouting and planning to hunt Missouri? Somewhere above the I-70 beltline?

Hunsucker,

What is that a petting zoo? You have deer everywhere just posing for you. :D

My scouting trips usually involve spotting a deer about 200-500 yards away on the edge of a field, hearing some crashing in the woods, seeing a white flag, etc. Nothing like that. I bet you are fired up.

Man i need to start hunting where you hunt, if some of those arent big ones, then i cant even imagine what a big one must be.

Wow, that is some beautiful scenery and some great pics of deer. Hopefully, you'll get to see that big boy soon. He should be scary big this year.

Man you got it real good! I was driving about a mile and half from my house yesterday and saw 2 nice bucks out in a bean field. One was wider than his ears but not very tall yet. He seemed to be like he had a lot of growing left to do.

Those animals look similar to an animal we have in NY state called whitetail deer.Is that what a buck looks like when it is allowed to get past the age of wearing it's first set of antlers?:D
Absolutely beautiful animals! Best of luck putting one of those bucks on the ground!
