String Leeches--who has 'em, like/hate, etc..
I've been thinking of switching over to some string leeches. I was a non-believer in their limb savers until I threw some on, now I wouldn't go without.
Thoughts please. Also, if you purchased them online, whereabouts? |

I purchased some at either Cabela's or A&A Supply. They did fine for me. They even lasted longer than they do for most. I ended up changing to TRU Ball speed balls. They silence the twang and I gain 5 fps. Nothing wrong with them except that they don't seem to last very long for most.

I know that in past topics, I've been the minority in saying they work great for me, and lasted a long time. I've had them for over a year, shot well over a 1000 shots and still don't have any sign of damage to the leeches. So with my experience, I like them and beleive they're well worth the money.

I like em- I remember reading that if yiou wrap the middle of them w/ mole skin or a small piece of duct tape before you insert them between yor string its suppose to double the life of them

I like mine...put some on in the spring, shot all summer, and changed them out before hunting season...no problems. Added another pair of limbsavers (2 pairs total) after X-Mas, but haven't had a chance to go out and see the differance yet

I like 'em and have had good luck with them lasting for me, I don't changed them out until they break.I wander if the faster the bow is the faster they break, not sure about that, just a hunch!Mine last through a year, with alot of shooting!

Got a set on the bow right now.
Would not like to go with out them. I think there great.Much better than wiskers. I have found that the people who don"t like them shoot short axle to axle bows at 70lb or more. They don't seem to last long for them. My bow is 38" 70lb got over 700 shots on this set. Hunting is nature. It is our nature to hunt. I'm not a hunting fanatic just a hunting addict. |

They seem to work for me real well. I haven't noticed them wearing fast like some people have had.

I can't say enough about leeches. They turned a quiet bow in to a dang near silent one.

I used to have a "twang" sound that I thought was from the rubber peep tube, but after I installed some leeches it is quiet now. I also installed some Limbsavers as well. I personally think that you can never have enough vibration dampenening on your bow.
