how much do you spend

how much do you spend on arrows every year? i just got CarbonExpress Terminator= 90, quickspin STspeedhunters white=20 and 38 for cutting and fletching them. this is my first time buying arrows by the dozen and then getting them fletched. so what do you spend on arrows every year

RE: how much do you spend

I usually don't buy arrows every year but when I do I go with carbon express cx300'sand usually buy a half dozen shafts and some blazer vanes and do them myself. I believe this year I spent about 80 bucks but I had to re-stock on the blazers so I have quite a few left over. You could forgo the cost of fletching and just buy a fletcher and do it yourself. It's a fun time killer and saves a few bucks in the long run.

RE: how much do you spend

For me......just getting into archery (kinda)......I spent probably <$100 the first year. I spent +/- $130 the second.......and Already $100, this year.

Thing is.....I've only broken3 arrows that weren't broken in animals......and I've lost 1 arrow. I have arrows set up for turkeys....and I have arrows set up for target shooting....and now I have switched to a/c/c's to hunt with. I know I'll likely break/bend some of my hunting arrows in animals. But I'd be happy if I could go through the '07 Whitetail seasononlysacrificing 6arrows or so.

If I spend $100 a year on arrows.....that'll be just fine.

So far this year I have brought 6 dozen Gold Tip ultra light pro 400's and thats only for my target rig I get the best 2 dozen for tournements and the others are practice arrows.

Will most likely get another 3 or 4 dozen Easton AC Super Slims a little closer to hunting season;)

Are you kidding me? You think I'm actually gonna incriminate myself by putting that into print?!? [8D]

Let's just say that every year I think I'm about done, and every year I seem to keep needing SEVERAL hundred dollars' worth of new stuff... [:-]

$100-$200 a year = 1 dozen to 2 dozen a year

I can ussually get through a year on just one dozen. I will ussually work my way down to about 3 arrows and then there is ussually something "better" I think I need to try so the next year I buy a different brand or something like that. But hey after a couple years I have a good mixed bag of different arrowsto take out and launch a few at rabbits come winter time.

I'm already $180 in this year, but plan on buying another dozen just to have before the season rolls around, but like Mobo, I'll get these at cost.

How many deer do you get to take? LOL.... A dozen arrows?

I'm hoping to shoot 8 or more...andI sure as heck hope I don't go through a dozen arrows!

I usually by 1/2 dozen new ACCs a year to keep the stock up. So about $60 a year since buying the initial 18.

Little to nothing. I rarely lose or break them. That's the advantage to using premium arrows. Unless there is a new arrow that I want to try, I don't spend anything on arrows on a yearly basis. I still have 8 of a dozenA/C/C 3-60s that I bought 6 years ago. I did buy some Axis FMJs last year.

Murphy isn't one of my better friends, Jeff, and we both know that stuff happens. ;)

I plan on shooting FMJs for quite awhile, so I just like having a lot of arrows. Plus I like to experiment with new fletching and whatnot, and it helps to have extra arrows to do this with rather than refletch my primary arrows.

My 6th dozen since January is in the mail now. [8D]

Most of those 6 dozen are target specific arrows for different uses though. 2x dozen 30x Pro's, 1x dozen X-Cutter Pro's, 1x dozen Pro 22's, 1x dozen CAA 350's, and 1x dozen CAA 400's. I will probably order another dozen pro 22's soon that weight match my first dozen in the next few weeks.

RE: how much do you spend

I have acquiredat least four dozen already this year. Half of these were ST Excel's - which have turned to be a very good arrow for the money. Pariticularly after you true up the inserts in a lathe. Will probably get at least another dozen - maybe two. Haven't really lost or broken more than five or six - so maybe after the next purchase (ST Axis?) I'll be set for awhile hopefully.

PS- I'm providing arrows for three bows: mine, son's, and daughter's. I'm the only one who shoots regularly.

I bought a dozen before last season, GT XT Hunter w/ blazers, spent about $80-90 (w/o broadheads).

Now I'm down to 6 good arrows. Trying to hold off on buying more, but
I don't think 6 is gonna take me through the season. 5 is my minimum
for efficient practicing.

RE: how much do you spend

I haven't bought any carbon arrows for 2 years now.....caught them on sale and I'm up to about 24 now and I've only lost 1 arrow last year because I shot a nice young Buck and it did a complete passthru and I'm affraid to use it again so when I get the deer mounted I'm going to hang the arrow on the deer racks as a souvenier! ;)

When I do buy arrows they go on sale for about $3.00 to $4.00 a piece so I buy around 7 arrows ($25.00 with tax) each time and stock up!
