Back to Kansas....tag secured

Well I had to share with someone, why not my hundreds of bowhunting friends. For some reason the wife wasn't that impressed. I got an email from my folks in KS that I drew a tag. Sure saves some money on the landowner tags, which were suppose to skyrocket this year. I'm pumped already.

the way I understood it they were doing away with the landowner tags.

Congrats on the tag. There are some nice deer in kansas but they arent behind every tree like the tv shows lead you to believe.

I don't remember anything on the applications that have them email the results to you. I've applied on-line, via paper apps and even done landowner tags in the past few years, never have I recieved an emails and I've had tags every year.

??????????????

My outfitter must have some sort of access that isn't available to the general public....I really don't know how he got the results that early, but believe me I'm holding him to it. I've heard that the site wasn't posting the results yet due to sorting through all those drawing.

Anyhow, best of luck to you guys. There's just no place like Kansas.

well then, you didn't draw rather your outfitter did, which means you bought a T-tag, right ?

nothing wrong at all with that, I was just wondering how you knew you drew ! That you got a T-tag explains it, outfitters have/had an iron fisted grip on the KDFW and they most certainly have inside info on the draws

good luck - Kansas aint what it use to be though

I beleive this is the last year for T-tags! Time will tell, but I beleive I read that they are going away next year.

I used my 1 PP to draw an either sex archery tag the results are up now

I think next year might see unlimited archery tags to Kansas and a pure draw ( no t-tags ) for non-residents

RE: Back to Kansas....tag secured

It was under my name and I'm not sure what a T-tag is really. But I'll take whatever they'll give me to hunt Kansas. I've also heard of the resident tags going over the counter and a draw for non-residents. Best of luck to you guys.

i don't think i understand KS system to see if you get drawn or not. I went through the link you provided and all i could do was purchase my license? i know that if you get drawn then you can purchase a license. So does that mean i got drawn?

Kelly/KY 07-05-2007 10:19 AM

RE: Back to Kansas....tag secured

There should be a search feature at the bottom of the page, which will allow you to look up your status. Best of luck.

RE: Back to Kansas....tag secured

This is the last year for T-Tags...which is good, because T-Tags arenothing more than an un-fairGIG to ensure tags for a few and decreases the chances for the normal NR hunter.Next year all tags will be a straight draw basis to all NR regardsless of anything. But the amount of tags will also increase dramtically(Up to 100%)to make up for loss of T-Tags, and in most of the state, gaurentee your draw. Outfiiters, lobbyist, and $$$ still talk big in Kansas.
