I have not even SEEN a deer while hunting this year...don't know what the deal is. Saw deer every weekend last year. I'm seeing more rubs this year though...

I'm off Jan 1, taking the 2nd & 3rd off too...that gives me the 1st,2nd, 3rd and 4th for bowhunting..I can go gun hunt on Sunday if I need to.

I plan on hunting in the morning and if no luck, moving further into the woods, scouting along the way and setting up for the afternoon.

I'm not giving up yet!!

Persistance my friend is key, that and scouting. I won't tell you how many I have seen or about the one I got though. Hang in there, your day will come.

Well there is two of us out there. Had the worst hunting year in over 10 years. I did see the A@% end of a nice buck walking back to my truck one night. Seemed that I was hunting the wrong place. When I was hunting the lowlands, they were running the ridges. When I went up, they were down. Never did get it together. There is always next year!!!!

Chin up dude. I haven't got a deer yet with a bow after 2 years. And I can't hunt with a gun. I have seen plenty though. How does moving further into the woods help you for an afternnon hunt? I hunt the afternoons alot and the deer are in the deep timber already. I stay out of there and hunt their active trails leading out. I'm afraid if you go deeper into their day bedding area that you'll just spook them out the other side. Good luck.

I'm still deerless as well, but I've let a lot walk too. I'm going again on saurday and if the oppurtunity presents itself, I'll take a doe. We only have till the 1st of Jan. here in MI. I work better under pressure anyway!LOL<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

BrainDamage your not alone my year for deer hunting has sucked to the max was injured the first part of bow hunting and couldn't do any hunting until the swelling went down then I got a infection and that took another 3 week's so there went 6 weeks, got my stiches out finally I get to go hunting wrong while walking out I get smacked with alimb reopening the wound that I just took so long to get healed up,finally I get to go and it's opening morning of rifle season get in my blind it just starts to get light out and I mean right behind my stand kerblam some trespassing idiot open's up scared the hell out of me hit my head cut it open on a nail storm out of the blind with alot of prized momma be proud word's to see the guy running at the speed of light out of there,and to this day I still haven't seen one %$&@$*^son of a$&$#((**( deer now I have until the 1st of january and low and be hold I got to work so the boss's can go hunting I am about ready to get one of those little monkey's and a music box and make a sign no cash please just venison but the damn monkey would probally quit or run off with the venison can we say POSTAL thank's I needed to vent that out have a nice day
