I know nothing about Slick Tricks, just wanted to state that first off. But, I shoot Thunderheads and if they work the same way then the ring tightens when you screw the head onto the arrow.

I don’t use them but a friend just got back from bear hunting and said it had a perfect X going in and coming out. Don’t think you could ask for more.

The ring acts as a washer to hold the blades into the ferrule. Like others have said, you slip the ring over the threads and seat the ring against the blades.

Tighten the broadhead with a broadhead wrench and the head should be locked into place.

The blood trails are awesome, very typical of a good 4 blade head. Honestly I have yet to have to trail something I've shot with Tricks.;)
