I was just wondering. My GT 7595s are .300 also. I guess I could probably get away with more weight on the front to increase FOC if I wanted to, huh?
[/blockquote]

Even though my personal preference is to stay fairly light on arrows (under 400 grains) I do like a FOC of 12% to 15% with broadheads;)
I started right at 400 grainstotal weight with GT 5575s, but decided to go with a heavier broadhead to increase FOC. That meant new arrows, since I was borderline underspined already. I sacrificed some speed (30 fps), but my 470 grain arrows are still moving at 270 fps. I can't wait to see what they do to my first deer.[8D]

You hit it in the right place, and I'm betting they kill it;)Smart move to increase your FOC.

RE: What's your hunting arrow?

I think I'm gonna use Easton Axis 400's. Total weight will be 425. I have been using Gold Tip XT Hunters which were just under 400 gr. I've lost some FPS, but they hit likea ton of bricks and my bow is quieter shooting the heavier arrow.

for years i've been using gold tip xt 55-75 8.2 gpi. with 100 grain heads then went to gold tip traditionals xt 55-75 at 8.9 gpi this year i'm going to try carbon express maximas hunters350 i think they are 8.9 gpi. stiffer seems to fly better out of my rigs, I'm not a speed freak i look to punch all the way through!!! works best for hog hunting!!
