RE: Which stabalizer?

It was part of the deal when I bought the new bow.

Sims S-coil. It is a good stabilizer.

I've got a few Wild Things by Bowtech on my bows... If it's not one of those, it's a Stealth; I'm having a custom 11 1/2" one made for my new Constitution for 3D next year right now.

I hav heard, read, and experinced that the Limb Saver S-coil is one of the best if not the best stabilizer for the $.

RE: Which stabalizer?

None of the above. I just bought a Wild Thing today and really like it. I find it suppresses vibration as good as my 6" Stealth and is better on shock since it actually moves with the shock to absorb.

RE: Which stabalizer?

Glad you like it, Terry... I think the Wild Thing just might be the most under-rated stab out there right now; much like the Sims S-coil was a few years ago. I've got a Sims, too -- and my Wild Things blow it away for soaking up vibration.

I like my fuse axium 6''. It does a good job at soaking up vibration and puts a good balance on my huntingbow.

I'm with ya, Redneck. I have the 10'' on my Vectrix and it works great.

Well I'm not the guy who has owned them all but so far I have owned Stealth, S-Coil and now the Wild Thing and find the WT does everything and I like that I can adjust the balance by pointing it in different positions. Didn't try yet but when I hunt moose the quiver is usually on the bow with 5 arrows on so this should help balance some. You really need to get past the looks of this thing and give it a try. The shop I bought it at let me shoot the 3D circuit this afternoon with it and I really liked the feel of it so I paid for it on the way out :).
My 07 Ally is just about complete accessory wise, now I'm deciding which way to go with arrows. I have a couple spine sizes of ACC I'm trying ( 3-39, 3-49) as well as my Beman Black MAx 500 but I'm thinkingof trying something @ 8 gpi like a 5575 Gold Tip XT. I have had good luck with those in the past. I will still keep a set of heavier shafts for bear and moose but I think I want something a little flatter shooting for deer.

Yeah I guess I should have added the DiamondWildThing but havent seen anyone or heard of anyone shooting with it yet. Its definately named right, it doesnt lookyour every day stabilizer thats for sure.

Another for the Wild Thing.

I use Fuse and Wildthing's, both are great stabilizers and great sound dampening qualities

RE: Which stabalizer?

Wild Thing should be renamed ugly thing, but if it works the best I would use it.

Right now using the S-Coil. I'm sure there are better, but not for $20.
Replaced the NAP Shockblocker which was $25 and definitely better.

I've got the CAP Lore on mine. I have no complaints about it. I have combined it with an STS system and the bow is shock free.

RE: Which stabalizer?

I use the SIMS Modular Stabalizer System and it does a good job. Since its Limb Saver, it obviously takes away noise and vibration, but also does a real good job of balancing the bow.

I shoot the Nap Shockblocker, I think its called. Overall I dont really have any complaints, I think its very comparable to the S Coil.

RE: Which stabalizer?

Tikka,

I switched out the Shockblocker for the Sims, and there is less vibration with the Sims. But the Shockblocker is a little heavier, so it probably functions better as a stabilizer.

In recent years I've used the Fuse and Stealth Stabilizers, and have been happy with both.
