no peep

Last year I missed an opportunity at a buck because my peep was frozen.I see some new peep-less sights are out and I am wondering which oneshave you tried and which one do you use?

I have tried the Hindsite Extreme and the NO PEEP from timberline. My personal opinion is the NO PEEP is a better product if you actually want to go peepless. It will teach you consistant anchor points if you use it correctly. After using it for a while I can shoot without it or a peep relatively well at hunting distances.

The hindsite works but can be a bit confusing because of how it operates, especially under pressure. And it will not work with a single pin movable sight. (unless you don't want to move it;))

Both are a pain to set up for the first time.

With a good string, a string loop and properly located and tied in peep you really shouldn't have any problems.

I too have the No Peep from timberline and like it a lot. I found I had to much freedom to miss-anchor w/ my string mounted peep. This thing really keeps you consistent, once you get it set up.

Good luck w/ it! I know theres some guys that just dont like em, Let us know if you need help settin it up.

I found the best way is to draw and get comfortable w/ your eyes closed. Then open and see which direction you need to move the no peep in order to come to that same point every time.

Timberline often has 'blems', which have some slight flaw in the bluing. I have purchased those in the past and really been unable to see any flaw. They are less $ and are functionally perfect. timberline_archery. It is www. and I don't remember if it is net or com.
