a pic from 10 days ago is also here, amazing how much they grow, the older pic was on 6/9, the new one on 6/19! Hope he keeps up the growth! ![]() ![]() |

RE: Buck Update!
ORIGINAL: Sportsfann 150 8pt is a pretty big 8pter, GOOD luck! He does look like he should ahve good tine length and main beams. Reguardless i think he'll be a great deer. Looks like about a 4 year old |
RE: Buck Update!
Here is a pic of him last year. A guy on here has that scoring program that u can use on trail cam pics and he said he scored 136... that was last year. and his brows were really short, so if the rest of his tines grow accordingly he might not need the mass to make 150 :)

RE: Buck Update!
Either its the one from the last post or its this deer (we have one of this ones sheds) I guess I'll have to wait and see when they get more character, but after looking at the two pics side-by-side i dont think its this deer...
The bucks here seem to go deep into the woods until fall, I rarely see the big boys until the rut starts up. I guess thats a tough thing about hunting huge woods... (but this is only one of my hunting grounds thankfully) And dont worry oneshot, I got the does pinned down. ![]() |
RE: Buck Update!
He looks a lot more like the first buck, but hes got the brows of that second one. Either way i think hell be a shooter. Put him on the ground and give us the exact measurement! :D

RE: Buck Update!
I cant wait to see what this buck looks like as a 3.5 yr old... he was a huge 2.5! he's a pretty elusive one... (ages are as best i can guess)
![]() Here is this deer just one year before (1.5 yr), (yes we do have good genetics in md:) ![]() |
RE: Buck Update!
He is a big boy! What with the spidley antlers? Are all bucks like that in Maryland? Looks kinda like Texas [8D];)

RE: Buck Update!
Mike -
Its all nutrition and age, infact I have reason to to believe that last pic I posted is a 2.5 yr old. I'll post a pic of that deer from the year before, you wont believe the change he made. anyway, these bucks are big woods deer, the ones we take off our farm have more mass than you can shake a stick at... But once these deer get some age (i.e. 4+ they pile on the mass, my cousin kill a sweet 140+ deer here that has great mass, and awesome character....) |
RE: Buck Update!
Yeah, all those bucks have long snouts and look like young deer. If that one is 2.5 he has the potential to be a freakin giant!

RE: Buck Update!
Thats cool how much they grow in such a short amount of time
