<font size=6><font color=red>MERRY</font id=red></font id=size6>
<font size=6><font color=green>CHRISTMAS</font id=green><font color=red>!!!</font id=red></font id=size6>

All of my friends and fellow board mates have a safe and happy Holidays!
After the usual rounds with the relatives Christmas day ,I'm off to that little cabin in the mountains for a week long flintlock/bow hunt......no running water, heat, phone, electric and certainly no computers! So everyone play nice while I'm away.....and I hope you all have at least one camo covered item in that stocking!

And even tho I believe Rudolph falls under fair game based on PA's new Antler Restriction game laws...........Have a heart, there's kids to think about!!

Matt,

You should switch to a recurve if you're gonna try a 50yd. running shot on a Whitetail.
I lead mine about 3' :^)

Matt I was getting ready to jump all over your stuff. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. Good luck in second season. As far as leading that deer? About 25 yds so you make sure you miss it completly and not a chance of wounding it. JERRY

Im gonna need a few more details on this one, like how fast is he running, the speed of your arrow, from a treestand or groundblind, windy or calm. But seriously you should never shoot at a running deer at more than 40 yrds.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.:)

RE: How far should I lead a running deer at 50 yards?

Matt distance is not important on running deer, you just swing through them and release when you see an opening through the brush!!

Like a few others when I first saw the topic, well I won't put the exact thoughts that ran through my mind, but they were not nice, then I saw it was you that posted it and knew it was a joke.

<font color=red><font size=6>Merry Christmas to all!!!!</font id=size6></font id=red>

RE: How far should I lead a running deer at 50 yards?

Just remember to aim at the <u>sound.</u> The actual distance is unimportant as long as you try to limit yourself to no more than 100 yards!! <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

As soon as I saw who it was, I knew what it was gonna be! Good one Matt. Have a great Christmas.

You guys are so gullible. Matt.... just swing through him. As you over take him and the pin settles below his <font color=red>RED NOSE</font id=red>... let her go. He won't be playin' any more games.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
