Some Opinions on my ideas for arrows?

Alright, First off I shoot an XT set at 70 pounds with a 29" Draw
I am thinking about getting some Gold Tip Pros at 340
shooting Rage 2 Blades
and I am undecided on Blazer vanes..I have a bunch, but that was for when I was shooting my WB.
I was thinking of something that I could actually get a helical on.
I have a bitzenberger so I am dyin to make myself some arrows.
Also, if you guys have some suggestions that you would go with. Feel free to throw them out there. I just need to get somethin so I can start practicing with what I am actually going to be shooting for the season.

Thanks a ton guys.

A 4" feather gets a very nicehelical and I like the way the barred feathers look. Arrows look great with feathers on them.

If you wanted something in a vane I use a 4" Bohning vane. It gets a very nice helical.

Keep in mind that the weight of the fletching, whichever you use, may affect the dynamic spine of the arrow.

The Blazers helical. They're just short so you can't see it as well as you can on a 4" vane.

I have the straight jig for the Bitz and put as much offset on it as I can and it works great.

SInce I got my bow I've tried Easton Light Speed, Gold Tip Hunter XTs, and just bought a dozen Carbon Force Pro's. To be honest, as far as shooting targets. I can't tell a difference in any of the arrows. I had a WB, but just recently switched to a QAD Ultra Pro. The Carbon Forces are Blazed with a 4 degree off set. They seem to fly just as good out of the drop away as they did out of the WB...if not better.

I have blazers on the arrows I am shooting now. I can see that they have a helical but wouldn't a 4" vane have more of an affect?

I put a big offset on my helical blazers and they fly like beauties. At 40 yards i can hit a turkeys head on the target everytime.
And i am not even shooting high quality arrows they are Beman (best arrow company ever!) Ventures!

This is just my opinion but, the reason you can't see the helical on the blazers very well is because there isn't much there to see. Using blazers, I would do as you do, just use the straight clamp and offset them as much as possible.

I have put blazers on using the helical clamp and, as far as I am concerned, since it barely puts any helical on it all I was doing was fooling myself. With barely a helical you do not gain any of the advantages a helical fletch is supposed to give you. If I want togain all of theadvantages of a helical fletching then I will just use a 4" vane or feather.
