Monster Spring Bears!!!!
Went and checked my camera this morning hoping for more pics of the bucks i had been seeing but instead i got pics of these monsters!
One, the bigger of the two, i am guessing is in the 400 lb range and the other in the 250lb range. What do you think? In the top left hand corner you can see my ground blind which they pay no attention to. I hope i dont run into them with out my bow or better yet my 30-30. Anyway just wanted to show them off! ![]() |

i said 250, but i guess i wasnt close enough.
ok, thanks |
RE: Monster Spring Bears!!!!
Great pics!
The rut was on last few weeks for these bruins. I agree the smaller is less than 200 lbs and might be a sow. The larger is a trophy and it's front end size would make a guess at a boar. |

RE: Monster Spring Bears!!!!
You have a boar and sow looking for luv!!!! This is the tail end of the bear rut. I would say that the first is about a 3 year old sow in the 125-150 pound range. The boar is much bigger and I would put him around the 300-325 lb range.
Cool pics thanks for sharing. |
RE: Monster Spring Bears!!!!

More food??? I didn't know you could bait bears in Oregon!!!!
|
RE: Monster Spring Bears!!!!
I dont hunt them.
I like bears enough to leave them alone i will only hun them if they start doing damage. Sorry if it souded like i was baiting. |
RE: Monster Spring Bears!!!!
I havent seen one here yet but i know there are a bunch of em here and i can smell em everytime they get close. A guy wanted to locate some bears so he rubbed some peanut butter on his deer stand. It tore the 6x6 in half 7 foot up and they have killed one 500 + lbs beind my house. Those are some pretty good ones there i would say 150-175 and about 375-400
