Look at the deer at 1.5 years old.

His body is HUGE for a 1.5 year old. If you look at his chest, back, and belly, you'd swear he was alot older. His head and neck look like a young deer, but the rest of him looks 3.5 or older.

But if you look at his rack at 1.5, he's just a little 6 point.

I wonder how many guys would shoot this deer as a "management buck" at 1.5 , thinking he was an olderbuck with a really small rack?

I've seen those pics before in a recent magazine article, I forget which one though. It is interesting to see how they develop over years. I think I recall him being a fenced deer, not that it makes a diff. Very cool.

if i was that photographer, and had that deer patterned well enough to get a picture of him every year, the eighth year i'd have brought a rifle along fora second shot
