Bow Suggestions
 

My friend who is 15 is looking at getting a new bow. He can spend about 400-500 on the bare bow. Any suggestions would help.

Look at Fred Bear or Diamond bows, getting good reviews around here.
They have various models, some less and some more than figure you gave. Generally the more you pay in these lineups, the faster and more features the bow will have.

Try Martin as well, good bows for the $$$.

i would look into an upper level PSE bow. not anything cheap though. something like the PSE Octane or the Brute

It's all a personal thing...Have him shoot a lot of different bows and see what fits him and is comfortable! Thats the main thing...Not what brand or the cost but what he is comfortable with and he will be confident shooting

I was just looking to see what bows he should look at. There is not alot of Dealers around were we live, we live in the middle of now wear. So if he had and idea of what he liked then we know which ones he should shot. He really likes the Diamond Triumph. Thanks for all the help keep it coming.

At fifteen he can pretty much adjust to anything. I might not spend that much money on a new bow. I would suggest a used bow from around the area. Use this site for infofor a referenceif itsa good deal or not and what to look for. He's got a lot of growing to do and right now he's also learning.

I would also look at an Oneida. It's has both it's nay sayers and it's supports. I'm on my second modle and have beenusing it for over 20 years.

Whatever it is,make sure it has some decent adjustment in draw length and set him up at the lower end of it.


Reflex might be a good one to check out but their pricing is going up due to the fact that they are making some REALLY nice bows.
