When do you put on your hunting clothes?

Simple poll with only 3 questions. Feel free to tell how and what you do before and after reaching the stand site when it comes to putting on your camo, using scent control, etc.

I dress after parking: I was told that fumes from inside the car and obviously at home will get on your clothes so I have just done that ever since.

For me it varies, either at Home or where I park. It wouldn't make sense to me to change at the stand;)

I usually get dressed after I park. Mostly, anyway. I wear my first layer or two then blue jeans and a shirt over those. This year, however, I will wear my first layer or two then a set of uninsulated coveralls that have been washed in scent free detergent over them. I'll strip those off and put my outer layers on then...

combination of two choices for me ...... when I park I put on some, depending on temp, I then pack in the rest of my clothing, as I have an uphill mile walk .....

At the stand makes sense if you are only putting on the last layer at the stand so you don't work up a heavy sweat while on your way to the stand.

I have done this in the past with GREAT succes.

I marked after parking because that is the norm for me.

Sometimes more than just the last layer for me ..... I walk through mostly field, so I move ..

If I was in a more populated area I would be arrested.
I always dress after parking my truck , trying to stay about 30 feet or so upwind of it. And I mean I put everything on. I strip down ( standing on a 2 ft square piece of rubber) from my driving clothes and put on my base layers and outer layers that are stored in a SL duffel bag.
It gets a lille chilly sometimes, but i feel it's worth the trouble.

I do a little of all 3. I put on my leafy suit at home, along with what ever I want to wear under that. When I get out of the truck, I put my coat, hat, rubber boots.. on. And if it is not cold enough to put my coat and stuff on at the truck, I will tie it around my waist, and put that and my hat on at the stand.

I'll wait until I'm parked close the hunting area then change into my hunting clothes , spray down with some Sent Killer and walk in the rest of way.

I said dress at home, but its more of a mix. I usually put my pants on at home, and x scent top, but get my shirt and jacket on after I park. Many times, the jacket stays off until I get to the stand.

In the past, I've gotten dressed at home but this year I'd like to get away from that and start dressing after I park. At least my outer layers.

I did this the past year, and I think it works fairly well. Shower in scent free soap and shampoo, dress in undergarments, put oncoveralls washed in scent free soap, and get dressed right before walking to stand. I mostly do this routine, as hunting come November and on is cold.

I always keep my clothes in plastic bags until I get out of the truck, then put them on. The only things my clothes touch are plastic and good ol mother earth.

RE: When do you put on your hunting clothes?

I'm like most of you, I put on my hunting clothes well away from the truck once I've reached my property. I generally carry everything in a scent proof, rubber lined duffeland then drag it well away from the vehicle before I start layering on my Scent-lok and ScentBlocker gear. Then I add the rubber boots and then spray everything down with a scent killer type spray. I feel as if it really helps?

RE: When do you put on your hunting clothes?

Easy, for me. I keep my huning clothes in airtight bins. So....I shower, then get dressed outside....and walk to my hunting spot.

I can walk to all of my hunting spots.
