Mike i finnaly piddled around today for about 30 minutes ,and came up with a couple possables to hang your archery beards. I was going to do this through PM but thought others might need some ideas as well, and im all for sharing them. One is an old broadhead i painted kahki color with the bleeder removed.I believe it is swaged on the shaft. I leaft about an inch of shaft, drilled a hole in a dowel that fit in the shaft, ran a thin wire through the dowel, crimped the end, glued the dowel in the shaft, and added a bead. The wire fits in the slots that i cut in your hanging bar, and has a small bead on top to keep it from sliding out. I drilled a small hole in the beard (quick) and a pilot hole in the backside of the broadhead in the bleader slot, and used a small machine screw to attach the beard. The other is just wrapped in leather, added a bead, and is hung with the same string that i sent you with a small bead it the top. I made a mini rail so you could see how they would look. If you like either and have seven similar heads, you could ship me the beards and broadheads, i could do em up for ya no charge since i feel i did not quite complete the plaque because of the shotgun hull hangers. let me know!! here are some pics!

Shed, thank you very much!! compliment taken!! copy all you want. Mike has since laser engraved the top section with his HB logo, it looks awesome. The plaque is made fron sassafras and walnut. The turkey prints are from 1/8" thick walnut.

Here is my attempt. I had a busted arrow to use so I didn't have to fletch. I think feathers would look better. I used carbon and tie wrapped it instead of trying to fit it into an aluminum shaft. Edit: I bet your beards will look better than my jake! Also, I think serving the beard to the shaft will be the way to go. And seat the BH in the shaft better. I didn't put an insert in it.

Dan, i really like both ideas. I do have some old broadheads but they arent like that. I have a few Muzzys and then a few older expandables. Let me think about it and get back with you becasuse i like the leather as well!

No hurry Mike, just dont want ya to think you have to go with these ideas, i was just throwing around a couple i had come up with. If you didnt like either i would totally understand I just used the old bear style broadhead because it laid flat without the bleeder, and was easy to mount the beard to, but certainly outdated. Take care!!
