Using an Ambush Hunting Sling...

Has anyone tried one of these? I know they are about $179, but has anyone had any success with them?

I've killed a buck and a doe from mine and I love it. I still use regular stands but I really like the sling for being mobile and quiet. It's an awesome tool IMO. I'll prepare 8 or 10 trees on private property with screw in steps and then hunt wherever the conditions and sign dictate.

If the tree already has steps, I can be up and hunting in about 30 seconds without making any noise. I also like how you can keep the tree between you and the deer until you are ready to shoot. Or if you know you aren't going to shoot, it minimizes the chance of getting busted by does or small deer.

Here are my thoughts from using the saddle one season (link below). I like it. I will do 80% of my stand hunting from it this fall. It is not as comfortable as a climber and setting up trees is time consuming and cost some $. However, it provides unrivaled shooting flexibility. You can hunt from any tree that will hold you (more limbs=better cover). Itssilentduring set-up upon arrival at your stand.
