When I read the first post on here and that it was $2mil in Iowa I thought that it would have been closer to a couple of thousand acres....but $2mil for 580???? Thats about what it costs in the lowcountry of SC. No offense to y'all from the Midwest intended...but land is priced a little bit more friendly out there for the most part...but that ain't all that friendly. But hey...you pay for a name!

I say we get about 20 members from this site, invite only of course or application, and purchase the property. $114000 a hunter. At 580 acres we could porbably hunt 4 at a time and be comfortable. We'll do a draw for hunts and depending on season length could hunt at least 2 weeks each. Great idea, right!

Nevermind it would never work. We could never find 20 suitable members on this site[8D]:D

For2 million dollars I could go on (400) $5,000 guided hunts...........doesn't sound like sound economics to me.;):D

If they get that kind of money....it'll be on their name...and it's gonna take a person with more money than sense.

Reminds me of a real-life scene I watched unfold, once.

I was a PGA Pro at a golf course.....and Arnold Palmer had a home on the course (2 lots). Beautiful home.....and it and the adjacent lot go up for sale. ALL around town...."Who's gonna buy Arnold's house.....Who's gonna buy Arnold's house". It was the buzz for a year.

House finally sells. New owner BULLDOZES THE HOUSE and builds an 11,000SF monstrocity across BOTH lots. He had more money than he did CARES.

Maybe they'll put up a Wal-mart, there on the kisky place??

Whoever does buy it, and someone will as Jeff said, better plan on moving to Iowa. That farm didn't become what it is by accident and it won't stay the way it is now without the same kind of work and dedication that the Kisky's put into it. That was a full-time job for them, so whoever buys it better also be independently wealthy and have a green thumb.

I wouldn't waste the money. You can buy a good chunk of land and make it a whitetail haven for less money in the mid-west/north.

You would not believe what Drury sold there Iowa farm for. I would be scared to say. A group out of Texas bought it last year and Drury still gets to hunt and film on it for the next three seasons.

This isfrom a good source in the industry.

I wonder if they would let me put $1000.00 down and $100.00 a month on lay-a-way.;)

Nope, they decided not to because the farm doesn't have those thin-skulled hogs on it! :D:D:D

I tell you one thing, if Team Void ever makes a hunting video, I think I would have to pay to see it (drinking lots of beer before doing so).

We offered $3000 per acre cash. Did not take it. But we are looking at a ranch in New Mexico that some TV guy, Turner or somethingowns.

Boys, it would be a good video. I know some of youthinkour constituents are nuts (they are) but we had a great time. Rarely can you get guys together and not have a minutes trouble or bickering. Laid back, giving each other crap, and laughing your heads off. There was something funny all the time. No alcohol was involved.

But we did hunt when we went out. All were serious when it was go-time. We all had opportunity. And don't judge by a post.

The TEAM VOID thing was when I thought I made a perfect in-the-arm-pit quartering away shot on a boar. (never hunted them) I said "Heart". But Pigs aint like deer! Donavan said "You shot the void spot where there is nothing there". Team Void was created.

There you have it. I am theoriginal member and creator. Pay the lady at the door as you leave.

Take it for what it is worth. I am sure others have hunts like this.
