Ok, this thread is great I think, should be a good time if we can keep it light.

Illinois : 125" or better (only my second season hunting...and so far I have no properties to hunt for bucks, just a couple doe-only areas.)

Ontario: 120"

U.P. of Michigan : 8-points or better

Doe: Never measured between the ears, so I'm not sure what a big one is...but I'll say 14", sounds reasonable.

I’ve got a few;
- Buck during bow season 120”.
- Buck during any season, wounded, chased down on foot and murdered with a knife in a brutal, dirty fight to the death.
- 3 doe, all mature 12” to 14”.
Any legal deer, still hunting on the ground with bow.

Oh as for Doe...NO spots but young and tender! I don't want no mature doe for my table fare.. I plan to take 3.

If its a slick head....its a slick head. I do not discriminate.

My standard is that for me to shoot anything other than a "cull" meaning very odd growth, crippled or spike rack.....the deer will be of trophy size and go on the wall. For me, thats about 125+ with a bow.

There is one exception however....I have always wanted to shoot a BIG 6pt buck. I don't know why. But if a 6pt with good mass and outside the ears comes out....he's toast.

130"+ in Wis.

If it's a clean 10 point, 125"+. ( I've never shot a clean 5x5).

this is a great thread, and will definately have to do some editing between now and Sept 1, as for my doe they will be young, tender, and tasty.

110 with gun because the public timber company land they just dont grow.
