Cabelas Broadheads

Wondering if you have tried these or heard anything about them. They looked alright and they are only $20 for 6. Just look at these 2 links and tell me what you think of them.

They look a lot like a MUZZY.

Since they are that cheap it would definately be worth trying them out!

If cabelas is anything like Bass Pro, then they probably don't acctually MAKE anything. They have a successful retailer that they have a big account with (like any account from them isn't big) take a popular product and then they slap their own name on it. In effect, it DOUBLES Cabelas or BPS orders to companies who do this...so everyone wins, including the consumer, who gets THE EXACT SAME THING FOR LESS!!!!

BPS house broadheads (the blackout) are acctually G-5 Strikers, sold for $24/3 as opposed to the actual G5 striker sold for $33/3 off the same rack. Even the wording on the back of the packages are the same.

The more I started looking at this...the more I found out who makes the BPS/Redhead line of stuff (there is no cabelas near me). BPS bows are all Diamonds, Parkers and Reflexes. Optics are bushnell. Raingear is GORE-TEX. Arrows are Carbon Express and Easton. SIghts, rest and releases are Cobra. And its all about 10-15% less than the same thing in the main name line.

Those broadheads (I agree with Michael) do look a lot like Muzzy's...in fact, I suspect they are.

I'v taken deer with the f-3's, two deer. I got both deer but both heads lost blades. I hessitate to say they suck because the deer died quick & they flew GREAT so they did theyre job its just I'm not used to losing blades on perfect broadsides. Only other blades I ever lost was once on a spine hit with a Tekan expandable.
I also used a Cabelas "mini lazer" I think they called it. Its a full sized 3 blade broadhead. That one stayed together.
So, yeah, they work but they aint top notch IMHO.

Like leverdude I have used the f3 heads. I too lost a blade. Mine was in a hog. i got a complete double lung pass through at 15yds on the ground. One blade didn't pass through. it stuck in the hogs rib. I have not used them again. I don't want to find a blade with my fingers while i'm gutting an animal.
