How much do you pay to hunt out of state?
It sounds like many of you travel to different states to hunt, obviously you need licenses for those states. So, I got to thinking... What is the most expenisve out of state license you paid for?
Im from Florida but go to school at the University of Delaware, which is on the border of PA and MD. So I hunt maryland often.
MD out of state license -$130
bow stamp- $25
extra buck tag (optional)-$25
public land permit- $35
muzzleloader permit-$25 (i hunt on bow only state land, but in order to hunt during the muzzleloader season with a bow, I need a muzzleloader stamp)
total- $215 without extra buck tag

I put more than $250. I am including the price of travel, either gas or airfare. Tags are really a small part of the equation for me.

NJ non-resident bow $135.50 + $28 for permit season. I haven't gun hunted over there yet, but that may happen at some point in time. That would be an additional $135.50.

$300 for a nonresident license in Arkansas. I think the AGFC bowed to pressure from resident hunters that are trying to discourage out of state hunters from coming to their state and raised it from $225 to $300. Tack onto that another $600 in lease fees that I pay. Much the same way that Arkansas discourages industry/businesses from coming to their state. If I didn't have family and land there, I would probably just hunt in Texas.

Its like $276 for a combo deer license in Michigan! I'm a property owner there but a NON resident! I like what Minnesota does with NR. They charge NR what their state charges NR to hunt! Seems fair to me!
