I still think there is a better place for the wedding picture. However, I highly doubt there's room for both you and the deer mount in the doghouse:D

We don't have a mantle, but the center spot of our living room wall has a Mount on it. HER MOUNTED 3pt, her first! So, in a way I don't have that problem, but the problem that her deer gets front and center stage! A 3 pt at that! LOL I'm proud of her!

The deer head definitly looks better, but the wife always wins. In my bachelor pad, you would have found a deer head in my living room. In my house now, I actually agree with my wife and I dedicate a room to my mounts. But to each their own, the deer head does look better.

If it is a functioning fireplace, I don't think I would put a deer mount over the mantle: too hot, too dry and too sooty. Better put the picture there!:D

The way I figure is thats just one mount. Your jepordizing multiple mounts through out the year by placing it above the mantle. Do whats right for Jimmy Johnson and let her have her way.

Make that four. I like the deer head, but if you hope to collect anymore deer without fighting and consternation, not to mention your marital privileges;), you'd better put that picture up.

If you don't you might be staring at that deer head on the wall of the dog house as you shiver at night.
