bow or blind
 

well yesterday i was over my friends house and we were shooting. at 20 yrds and it was all good and then we when back to 40 yrds and my arrows were dropped about two feet out of the air and i was missing the target!. i didn't think my bow was that low. i was going to buy a double bull but now i mit get a new bow that shoots 333 fps. should i buy the new bow or get the double bull.

ALL BOWS DROP ALOT FROM 20 to 40 YARDS.


If you want to shoot dead on at 40 then put a pin on the bow set for 40 yards.


You might try sighting in at 25 or 30 yards and then learning what to compensate for at the different yardages.

I shoot with one pin, and I don't move my pin at all. I'm shooting a Switchback XT, set at 63lbs. Maxima Arrows, 100 gr. heads from 0 thru 40 I'm just fine Maybe you need to lighten your arrows and push your poundage up

That's a rog. Get a multi-pin sight and sight the pins in for 20/30/40 yards and you're golden.

if you like the single pin sight... try looking at the trophy ridge titan v drive. thats what i have and i love it. its a veritcal pin and its the easiest sight to sight in i believe and you can adjust it when your in the tree to what ever yardage you need with very very very little movement and very quickly. i just have a little mark at 20 30 40 and 50 and i can adjust it from 20 to 50 in less than 2 seconds

Pabowhunter, no one really has answered your question. Couple of questions. How old is your bow? More than 5-10yrs old? I was in the same predicament earlier this yr. I had a 5 y.o. Golden Eagle w/a dbl oval shaped cam system. This past Jan I bought a Bowtech Tribute. Man o man what a difference. The Tribute is lightyears ahead of the GE. It's faster, quieter, smaller, & shoots like a dream. This past week I was shooting in the yard & my youngest son commented how quiet my bow was compared to the old one. And as for speed he couldn't even see them fly @ 20yds. U can always get a blind. But you'll get a heck of a rush w/a new bow. It'll even probably renew your love for the sport. Since I got my bow, I'm out at least 2-3 x's/wk. Definitely go w/the bow.

The reason the question wasn't answered is because the question is not relevant to what he is wanting answered.[&:]


A bow can not and will not shoot flat to 40 yards regardless if it shoots 200 fps or 400 fps.


If a person wants to shoot flat at 40 yards then they need a rifle.;)(even then there is a difference,but very slight)


The information needs to be given so that he can make an infomed decision on what he may want.
